In order to qualify you need the following:
- Have at least 1 year of continues full-time skilled work experience in the past 10 years that is in the occupations listed under TEER 0, 1,2, and 3
- Meet the required language levels needed for your job
- Intention to reside in Canada but outside of the province of Quebec.
FSW program is also based on the selection factors, which requires you to meet all the minimum criteria. That includes age, education, work experience, language skills, and whether you have a job offer letter etc. These factors are part of 100-point grid, and the current passing mark is 67.
The Express Entry, as mentioned, also uses a Comprehensive Ranking system. In addition to the mandatory requirements, it includes many other factors that make up the amount of Express Entry points that are also based on your age, level of education, official languages, work experience in Canada and/or overseas, arranged employment, relatives in Canada etc.
IRCC will send an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to the most eligible applicants with each draw, after which you may apply for Permanent Residency application.
